Hi there,

Yes there is, and quite a few Eve communities have already made the move!  What's your URL?  Also, have you looked at Hoop.la thoroughly?  It's an entirely different platform.  Thanks!
Hi vhanna-

To follow up on Sandy's post, we highly recommend that you first try using Hoop.la before switching over from Eve.  You can sign up for a free account at http://hoop.la (perhaps you have already done so).  Because the platforms are completely different, you should be sure you are comfortable with Hoop.la first.

If you decide you like it and want to import your Eve site, we can do that for you.  There is a one-time migration fee for us to do the import, and we can give you a quote for that (we'd just need to know the URL of your Eve site so we can give you an exact quote).
Ted,

Can you provide "the two-minute elevator pitch" on why I should move to Hoop.la or stay with Eve?

The two things that stand out to me are that Hoop.la is ridiculously low priced compared to Eve if you have the high post storage and bandwidth usage that I do. Also, I really like the idea of having a mobile app.

Is it your plan that Hoop.la is the eventual successor to Eve?
Vhanna,

It's not a foregone conclusion that you "should" move to Hoop.la; it's an entirely different platform and different experience.  That said, those who are making the move have decided that they want a platform that provides not only forums, but a blog and scheduled chat, photo/video/audio uploads, their own branded iPhone app, a platform that will be constantly updated... you get the idea.  To answer your last question, Hoop.la is not exactly a "successor" to Eve; we still have many happy clients on Eve and will not be "end-of-lifeing" it anytime in the foreseeable future.

I'd be happy to jump on the phone and discuss further with you (I'm the Sales Director here, and Ted's on vacation anyway); go ahead and call my direct line, 206-456-6663; I'm generally available today and tomorrow.  Cheers,

Sandy
